Volgaburmash, JSC Receives First Place Diploma at the International Exhibition in Surgut
Volgaburmash Company participated in XVII International Specialized Exhibition “Surgut Oil and Gas – 2012” that was held September 12 to 14. It was organized by the District Exhibition Center “Yugorskiye Contacts” under the auspices of Surgut administration, supported by the government of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area and Surgutneftegaz, JSC.
This is the largest specialized event in the main oil-producing region of the country with participation of over 120 Russian and foreign companies engaged in oil production, transportation and refining. Volgaburmash, JSC’ stand exhibited new roller cone and PDC bit designs developed for the applications of West and East Siberia. Much of the visitors and participants’ attention was drawn by the matrix bit 215,9 FD 266MH-AM369, state-of-the-art computer technologies were used for its development to balance the dynamic loads while drilling. Recently, it has been successfully tested in Yakutia, in Severo-Talakanskoye field of Surgutneftegaz, JSC (See the article dated 13.09.2012 http://en.vbm.ru/news/). It was for this design that Volgaburmash, JSC received its first place diploma as a result of Best Product Competition of XVII International Exhibition “Surgut Oil and Gas – 2012” in the category “Modern drilling and oil field equipment”.
On the first day of the exhibition, Volgaburmash, JSC’ stand was visited by deputy governor of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, Gennady Bukhtin. He examined the exhibited bit samples, made inquiries about the current Company’s activity and wished good speed in promoting the products at the market. The Company’s stand was also visited by the head of Surgut D.V. Popov, head of the municipal duma S.A. Bondarenko and head of Surgut district D.V. Makushchenko.
The visitors of the stand included representatives of Surgutneftegaz, JSC, Drilling Company Eurasia, LLC, Gazprompererabotka, LLC and other large companies. The topics of negotiations were testing new bit designs, extending sales amounts and strengthening mutually-beneficial co-operation.
